Piriformis Injection

Piriformis injections are a treatment option for individuals experiencing pain and discomfort associated with piriformis syndrome, a condition where the piriformis muscle in the buttocks irritates the nearby sciatic nerve, leading to symptoms such as buttock pain, sciatica, and numbness or tingling down the leg. During piriformis injections, a combination of a local anesthetic and a steroid is injected directly into the piriformis muscle to reduce inflammation and alleviate pain.
